I focused a lot on the first ad, the Denver water ad. This ad uses Ethos appeals because its from the Denver Water company, so they know what they are talking about. Also, the timing of it is current and affective due to a lot of the "green" campaigns (Karios).

The second post from 3M users invented ethos by physically displaying the capabilities and assuring that the glass will not break despite everyone trying to get at the money inside. Very effective way of showing off their product

Brittany Maynard says she will commit suicide under Oregon's Death With Dignity Act on Nov. 1, one day after her husband's birthday, at home in bed to escape the burden of her terminal brain cancer. Her story is trying to inform people of the Death with Dignity Act and trying to get people to support this Act. There is definite pathos to try and get the reader to feel bad for her.

This is also a very contingent issue in the United States with her argument that assisted should be legal. There is also a bit of an enthymeme being that with that if you are in a lot of pain that you should be able to die. The middle section left out being that the pain makes you life not worth living, which is the debated issue.

This is a letter to Brittany Maynard from another cancer patient. The exigence the rhetor, Kara Tippets' is responding to, is the story of Brittany Maynard. This article is very kairotic because Kara is writing this letter right in time for Brittany Maynard and the world to read it before Brittany makes her decision to die. Kara also persuades using ethos by telling her story and showing that she is also suffering and pathos to make the reader feel hopeful. I loved this article.

In this article the rhetor is focusing on an audience that would like to cook, because they are sharing tips on what pumpkin spice can be added to. She uses logos in that she sets up the article so it talks about fall and the pumpkin spice latte before diving into other recipes that it can be added to. There is also good Kairos because fall just started and its the perfect time for pumpkin spiced dishes.

This speech is rhetorical because it is in response to Watson's noticing that women are not treated equally and the idea that being a feminist is bad, it also encourages and persuades people to do more than they are about the issue, and it targets and audience of both men and women who are willing to help.

This article is rhetorical because it is in response to an article written by another author and also incites a response from others as people have differing views on the subject. It is also addressing a contingent issue

I agree with what is stated above. This writing has many functions and addresses different audiences aka adapted to them. You could even say it builds community based around Adrian Peterson's actions.

This is an example of rhetoric because it is trying to persuade people to think that apple is better than windows and is also adapted towards a specific audience of window users.

This is also showing how much more simple the ios software is to use versus the more complicated windows software. In a way its using logos to show this.

I find it interesting as we said in class that with no text or dialogue in the picture, the rhetor just assumes that we know what the labels represent.

This is rhetorical because it was planned, laci green is using persuasion, she's addressing a big issue, and she invited a response because she put it on YouTube.

The Article is an example or rhetoric because it is carefully planned to be very opinionated and convincing. It is responsive to the question of if humans are the cause to global warming. It definitely seeks to persuade the audience to believe that the thought of humans not being at fault for global warming is unacceptable. And it addresses a continent issue that has been debated back and fourth for years.

This article is actually claiming that those who think humans are causing global warming are overreacting -- it's saying that environmentalists are using "reckless" scare tactics and rhetoric to make the situation seem worse than it is. Read carefully!

In response to a Tumblr post Taylor Swift wore a No Its Becky shirt that she made to make a point. This is Rhetoric because it was definitely planned and definitely responsive and asks for a response. When Taylor Swift made this shirt and wore it in New York City she would have known that she would get a response.

This is rhetoric because it is persuading people to switch to Mac instead of Windows. It leaves room for debate on the bottom of the page and is asking for a response.

This article is trying to persuade the reader that Scott Walker is anti-women.This article is taking advantage of the kairos coming from the election that is approaching.

It also seems to have really good logos with the organization of the article.

uses a lot of logos, personally i don't really agree with it but thats my opinion
