Planners solution to solving poverty in Louisiana by using celebrities to donate and rally support. The intentions are earnest becasue they aim to supply at least 100, 000 jobs to rebuild for Katrina victims.

Although this article does not cite any sources, it lists many of the causes of poverty to an unbalanced distribution of wealth, social injustice, racism, and social inequalty. The article suggests free market and left wing solutions as possible interventions in ending world poverty.

Since 2004, Louisiana has implemented a STOP program that will try to resolve poverty in the state of Louisiania. Many services are linked to STOP like adoption agencies, vocational rehabilation, and other child welfare agencies. The idea is to consolidate and work together to create a soloution as a whole instead of having inconsistencies.

Mark Skousen uses a Searcher approach to solving poverty. Instead of useless charitable donations, he proposes breaking the World Bank down into self employed institutions.
