  Although there are thousands of different languages in the world, english is one the most prominent languages in the world. The asian continent may have more native languages than the rest of the world, but English spoken in 101 countries all around the world. According to this post, 2,000 languages in the world have less than 1,000 native speakers. This is interesting because the common study of English may play a factor in affecting the numbers of native speakers of various languages.
