Period cramps or menstrual cramps are often described as a constant ache in the abdominal part or lower back. They are completely natural and normal, the intensity of the pain varies from person to person, in some women it can be a mild pain or some won't even experience them at all but most of the women does go through high-intensity painful cramps that effect their normal day to day activities, but it doesn't mean we should accept the fact and let ourselves suffer in silence!

Menstrual cramps (or dysmenorrhea) is a medical condition characterized by severe uterine pain during menstruation. While most women experience minor pain during menstruation, dysmenorrhea is diagnosed when the pain is so severe as to limit normal activities, or require medication. Dysmenorrhea can feature different kinds of pain, including sharp, throbbing, dull, nauseating, burning, or shooting pain. Dysmenorrhea may precede menstruation by several days or may accompany it, and it usually subsides as menstruation tapers off.
