This tutorial by Zachary Zawarski explains "how to create a map with custom locations that you can publish on your website" (¶1). "The greatest benefit of this tool is that current entries can be edited and new entries can be added to the map through the Google spreadsheet without having to update the map's code..." "Drop.io offers a simple upload widget that you can embed into your course blog or website" ( ¶2). Mr Byrne's 2010.02.25 post includes slideshow of "directions for installing the Drop.io upload widget on Blogger blogs and Edublogs blogs" (¶2).

In this April 1st post, Waters lists useful widgets and points out a demo blog where most are in use. Then she provides instructions for adding them to a WordPress blog.

Janet Lee proposes five options to consider in case five paragraph essays are what you're calling on students to produce.

I really like lesson number 8: "In order to be a better writer, you have to read! Many of my posts were inspired by something I read. I want to especially thank all of the other education bloggers out there sharing their knowledge!" I agree completely, and would like to thank Dr. Cook as well for providing just that sort of inspiration.
