Written with verve and style, it unpicks a crucial year in Italian history, undercutting a series of accepted truths concerning Italy’s unification and, in Jonathan Steinberg’s words, telling Italians “what they did not want to hear”.

Nudging Towards Theocracy: Adrian Vermeule's War on Liberalism | Dissent Magazine - 0 views

  • If power is to be delivered to the technocrats, it has to be taken away from someone else. For Vermeule, that someone is the judiciary.
