How-to document for setting up RSS feeds for podcasting.

In order to help some of my struggling reading students, I'm having my students record our week's memory work in GarageBand, then distributing it as a podcast. Students and parents can subscribe to the feed and use this auditory support to help with memorization. This page is the tutorial that I'm using to set up the feed.

A recommendation from Pastor Rob Guenther - He writes ... I found a series of podcasts recently that I've been enjoying and would recommend. Check out: http://quickanddirtytips.com/ (particularly Get-It-Done Guy, Get-Fit-Guy, and Tech Talker. But I also enjoy the Grammar Girl and the Public Speaker as a pastor/writer/preacher). Only 6 to 8 min. podcasts, but half that when I listen in double time.   

A new edtech podcast with Chad Kafka

This is the teacher who "designed and deployed the world's first whole-school 1:1 iPad deployment." He has a podcast called Canvas where he and another guy (Federico Viticci) talk about how they play and work only with an iPad. He also has a podcast called Out of School. He also has a killer Scottish accent.

LastPass has 90 days to fix the potential exploit before ProjectZero releases the exploit to the public. The Mac Geek Gab Podcast recommends switching password managers if LastPass has not "patched the hole" in half the time (May 1). I personally have LP on all my devices, having paid money for the mobile version. 1Password seems to have a stronger reputation from the podcasts and bloggers I follow, but the desktop app was much more expensive than LastPass. Perhaps I'm getting what I've paid for. :(

I haven't listened to many, but the podcast topics look intriguing

A great podcast for learning about how to do video broadcasting. The show is usually a Q&A format. They even do live call in if you have questions as well.

This new camera was released this summer. An all in one camera that does streaming (from what I can tell it would likely work with FinalWeb Streaming) and can be controlled all with the web interface. It also has the more tranditional pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) interface as well, if you already ahve that. Wire audio from a microphone or your sound system to it, connect it to your broadband and you would be up and going. Or, use the SDI video connection to go something something like Wirecast on your computer for more control. Refer to my presentation from WelsTechConf on video streaming, this new camera is one I am now reviewing to replace our first camera we installed this last year. We may shift then the camera that is our "primary front and center" off to the side more for the "B" roll view.
