    There is an assumption that persists in the educational community that more mature teachers are much more difficult and reluctant to be trained on the effective use of educational technology. To some degree, I think this assumption has been built on by the digital native vs digital immigrant myth. But as someone who has trained teachers of all ages all over the world I would say that, from my own experience, this hasn't been the case.

      This is an excellent idea for a district to implement. Teaching teaches how to curate content online to align it with state standards. Does it take time? Yes. But, instead of playing outside consultants and companies to do this, a special committee of well trained and motivated teachers can come together and do this. They can pay them extra for this position. I think this will even motivate more teachers to get digitally ready when they see their colleagues getting payed extra for this kind of stuff.

    Gilmar, a dear friend of mine and Webhead, Dafne, is in charge of the Spanish Classes there and is training other teachers to teach spanish. How cool is that?
