I added a menu bar to my recipe page. Now, the page links to "Other Recipes", "Other Soups" and "College Inn," all with dropdown options linking to external sites.

I forgot to add that I used this site as a reference for the Menu Bar: http://www.alistapart.com/articles/dropdowns/ A friend of mine also helped me with the positioning of the nav as well.

This is all new to me, so I'd like to share this FAQ I found while setting up an Angelfire account. Found it helpful.

File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a fast, easy, and reliable way to move an entire Web site from one location onto Angelfire's servers. This is just an example of one of the many pages on the w3schools.com page. I used this site in my 512 class last semester all the time and it is extremly helpful in helping to get all the little aspects of coding. Plus it gives the example code that you can copy and then mess around with to get the hang of it.

Well, it's a good start, but you need to have it run the first 500 numbers, not up to 500 :). So, it's running about 480 short right now. As far as the code goes, just make use of a basic template, except for the PHP bit of it in the middle.

Here's a very concise paragraph to give a quick introduction to the world of Nancy. it doesn't say too much about me, but I'm sure more will be revealed in time.

W3Schools is an amazing resource. I used it in my last ICM class (512) for tutorials in XHTML and CSS. This particular page provides the hexadecimal codes for many colors that we can use in web pages as we go through our class challenges. Hope it helps! (I use it all the time!)

Recipe

This is fine for the assignment, but note that it will not validate (I assume). Take a look at that second <ul>. You've got an un-nested <p> tag there--it starts before the <ul> and ends before the </ul>. Actually, that <p> is extraneous, so you can just delete it...

Just a quick question regarding the Fake Profile challenge. Should it be two or three pages minimum?

And then there's this competition. Probably a bit much for this class, but if student(s) are interested, I would be happy to do an ind. study in the summer.

Here is a simple three-page site about the Pilates method of physical conditioning. The site features a what is pilates page, history of pilates page and basic equipment page with photos and descriptions. Visitors are able to navigate to each of the three pages from one another. An issue I ran into was knowing how to gage the size of the images and how that affected the text size of the headings.

Note that the <img> tag is self-closing--need to remember to have the closing slash on that. You also missed closing one of your <p> tags.

So, great page. But :)... Tables for layout is bad news. There's no way to predict how it will be viewed on some devices, and it makes it harder (in some cases) to be spooned into a CMS. So, fine for now, but lose the <table> habit for anything other than tables as we move forward. (In this case, floating the image to the left would accomplish the same effect, but provide a liquid layout...)
