The Semantic Web provides a common framework that allows data to be shared and reused across application, enterprise, and community boundaries. It is a collaborative effort led by W3C with participation from a large number of researchers and industrial partners. It is based on the Resource Description Framework (RDF). See also the separate FAQ for further information.
ai-one™ - biologically inspired intelligence. We sell software development kits (SDKs) for machine learning applications. We give programmers a virtual brain so they can build artificial intelligence into any software application. Unlike other machine learning tools, our technology works in any language, works with any data and learns quickly without human intervention.
The real challenge for Semantic Web technologies and ontologies lays in the adoption; although the need for this disruptive technology is clear, it has not yet been fully adopted by the mainstream. Ontologies: where, what for, how, when and why? Ontologies are being used in several applications, but is ontology engineering a mature discipline? Not only are we interested in practical realizations of the Semantic Web, but also in visions of technology that illustrate how SW technology and ontologies could change our experience of the Web.
The Semantic News Community Group is a forum for exploring the intersection of W3C semantic technologies and news gathering, production, distribution and consumption.
It will focus on a common representation for abstract ideas in the news domain such as a 'news event' or a domain ontology for news. This includes the follo
