GoodRelations is the most powerful vocabulary for publishing all of the details of your products and services in a way friendly to search engines, mobile applications, and browser extensions. By adding a bit of extra code to your Web content, you make sure that potential customers realize all the great features and services and the benefits of doing business with you, because their computers can extract and present this information with ease.

Following the workshop in Video on the Web, the goal of the Video in the Web activity is to make video a "first class citizen" of the Web. Video on the Web (and this includes audio, as the two are typically used together) has seen explosive growth, improving the richness of the user experience but leading to challenges in content discovery, searching, indexing and accessibility. Enabling users (from individuals to large organizations) to put video in the Web requires that we build a solid architectural foundation that enables people to create, navigate, search, link and distribute video, effectively making video part of the Web instead of an extension that doesn't take full advantage of the Web architecture.

HTML microdata [MICRODATA] is an extension to HTML used to embed machine-readable data into HTML documents. Whereas the microdata specification describes a means of markup, the output format is JSON. This specification describes processing rules that may be used to extract RDF [RDF-CONCEPTS] from an HTML document containing microdata.

Flora-2 is an advanced object-oriented knowledge representation and reasoning system. The Data Cube vocabulary provides a means to do this using the W3C RDF (Resource Description Framework) standard. The model underpinning the Data Cube vocabulary is compatible with the cube model that underlies SDMX (Statistical Data and Metadata eXchange), an ISO standard for exchanging and sharing statistical data and metadata among organizations. Minerva Portals is a joint effort of the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Jena and the IBM Deutschland Research & Development GmbH in Boeblingen. The overall goal of this project is provide an architectural solution for the next generation Web portals. We are aiming to overcome the drawbacks and limitations of static portals and make portals more intuitive, dynamic, and flexible. In this project, we work on Web portal extensions in the following areas: * Context-awareness. By taking into account the context in which the user is acting, we can efficiently adjust the portal to fit the user's current situation, for example depending on the currently used device, time or location from which the portal is accessed. * Adaptivity. Adaptive Web portals learn from the users' behavior and make assumptions about their information needs and potential behavior throughout future sessions.

RDF is a directed, labeled graph data format for representing information in the Web. This specification defines the syntax and semantics of the SPARQL query language for RDF. SPARQL can be used to express queries across diverse data sources, whether the data is stored natively as RDF or viewed as RDF via middleware. SPARQL contains capabilities for querying required and optional graph patterns along with their conjunctions and disjunctions. SPARQL also supports extensible value testing and constraining queries by source RDF graph. The results of SPARQL queries can be results sets or RDF graphs.

The British National Bibliography (BNB) records the publishing activity of the United Kingdon and the Republic of Ireland and is such a measure of their intellectual output.
