My objective was to take a month off work, shut myself away in my apartment, spend a month coding up all of the basic plumbing I needed to get the first core part of my service in working order, and profit. Needless to say, I failed to reach my goals,  but not for any of the typical reasons like poor project planning, lack-of-focus, and so forth. No, I failed because I took the experiences of other entrepreneurs too literally and tried to "be my own boss," without appreciating what that really means.

So a while ago I read Amit Agarwal's "Screenshots: Still the Best Way to Embed Tweets in Web Pages" and thought, hey, maybe I will code up something so people can easily embed tweets on their website. I don't use Twitter that much but what the heck, I am not doing anything today anyway so I started working on this little project this morning while watching the original "The Karate Kid" for the first time (I don't like the movie at all).

This is an extremely cool and useful web application, and if it hasn't been thought of before, I'm absolutely shocked, because it makes so much sense. Essentially, PHPanywhere is a web based free Integrated Development Environment or IDE for the PHP language. Last week, Twitter released @Anywhere, which, with only a few added lines in your code, can bring all of Twitter's platform functionalities into your website. @Anywhere can allow for anything, ranging from simply converting a simple @username into a clickable link, to even creating new tweets directly from your personal site.
