Some surprising thoughts about how social media use actually correlates with better academic performance.  Note from Miriam: To be fair, better social connectedness in general probably has more to do with doing well at school than social media per se. But there are so many new possibilities and uses for social networking sites that whatever connections already exist can only be amplified and empowered online.
