    Christine,
This is the perfect reminder of what our job is when it comes to incorporating our tool chest into our courses. Like Denise, I will also be hanging this up by my desk. Each of us has the responsibility to help our students master the art of using existing technology and setting them up for success with what ever technology is evolving. Their lives will be very different than ours - but we can help them safely weave the balance they need between our old ways and the emerging future.

This is a PBS Frontline series that has been updated since its original showing. It is good to show parts in class - it has short segments that students identify with. Also check out the "Growing Up Online" portion of this.

This is a three part article that goes into using iPads as an educational tool. It caught my eye because I spent last week at iPad camp making media and loved it.
iPads have a bad rap in schools. Students think are are only useful for playing games or checking facebook. However, there is SO much more. Here's a great quote - "As an administrator you must accept that the burden of success of the iPad implementation in your school rest on your shoulders. To help support positive progress, be a model for others to demonstrate your own personal commitment to the effort."
The article supports professional development for teachers and staff (paras need to be proficient as well).
Check this series out if you have an interest in what you can do to engage your students in some hands-on, authentic audience, creative fun!
