These children are orphans, some have been abandoned, and some have parents but still require extra support. The orphanage strives to provide a better future for some of the most vulnerable children in Nepal. As a volunteer, you will primarily assist with the daily care of the kids; including bathing, feeding and clothing. You can work with infants and toddlers, and also older school age children. Volunteers can teach English, help with homework and exam preparation, and to simply engage the kids in extracurricular activities. You can arrange activities, create arts & crafts projects and share your time and caring with these wonderful children. Volunteers also assist the local staff with administration and planning duties. Prior experience not necessary, volunteers should have a lot of patience, an open mind and a sense of compassion. The centers offer free services for extremely poor families that work in the local factory. Volunteers can practice English with the older children, arrrange games, read stories.
