These tips are aimed at businesses, but some good advice for schools too. Create targets as clear measurable objectives. Inform & engage constituents. Don't fit business to tech, fit tech to business. "If users don't know what the app will do for them, it's not worth buying."

This site contains the essential conditions listed by ISTE to effectively leverage technology for learning. I don't think that all of this information will go into a plan, but I do think they are all necessary for a school to have in order to have the most effective use of tech.

I thought this gave a good overview of a timeline for technology in classrooms. One fact that stood out to me was that in 1984 in public schools, there was an average of 1 computer for every 92 students and in 2008, it was 1 computer to every 4 students.

Simple and effective explanation with the use of a real life situation.The last post I made seemed very detailed and I wondered about my part as a teacher. Was I the one creating, following or implementing TPACK? This has helped me to clarify my thoughts. Thumbs up!

Hey Julian! This was a very effective sample from which I could get two of the main aspects in which technology can be a great contributor: students can learn independently by using tech applications, and students can learn more effectively by following an interactive model. Nice video!

It was interesting to note the idea of differentiating the PD - I have sat in so many courses where the participants' skills varied, causing reactions of boredom through to confusion!!

Aristotle's quote struck me to the core... Maybe that's the simplest yet most comprehensive answer to the question we teachers ask so often: "Why do I have to learn to do things differently if what I have always done has always worked for me?"... Love it!
