The case of Monsanto vs. Bowman really struck a nerve with me - how much control one company has over our food supply is scary. It is sad that they look like they will win this court case.

The Boston Marathon bombings were horrifying for many reasons, and one is how easy it is for someone to construct a deadly bomb using simple and easily obtainable materials, with instructions posted on the internet. This is one of the hazards of technology - misuse and abuse.

The apparent discovery of the Higgs boson is a big step towards understanding our universe. I have a lot of friends who are not interested in such research for research's sake, but I am amazed by how much of our current technology is derived from this research. I am looking forward to new innovations in science and medicine based on this discovery.

As wonderful as Technology is, society is being warped into a tech frenzy. Not being able to stay "away" from gadgets is becoming more and more abnormal. It's a common joke with me, that our phones, which coincidentally include, email, social media, texting, and more, even tend to come with us to the bathroom...its becoming WAY too much and people need to realize there are more important things to do than continue to stay connected ALL the time.
