Here, Wikipedia summarizes Moore's Law, which describes scientific trends in technological advances. Scroll down to the highlighted sub-chapter of the page, and you can review projected challenges to faster technology.   In the end, we cannot stop the evolution of technology, as it races circles around current systems in twos.  Every couple of years, we need to upgrade, otherwise, consider being left behind in obsolescence (scroll down to the next highlight for a definition).

I found this website selling assistive technology. So of course it's all about purchasing products, but the site has interesting information.

"MassMATCH is the Commonwealth's initiative to Maximize Assistive Technology (AT) in Consumer's Hands". It works to "promote the use of assistive technology and assistive technology services to enhance the independence of people with disabilities, enabling equal participation in all of life's activities."

I found this article to be quite interesting. With the advent of "new media," I find the use and reliance on traditional media to be surprising for a landmark event like a presidential election

Do you know about the Electronic Frontier Foundation?  It's a pretty interesting site to consider visiting as a student studying technology.    They say they are "leading civil liberties group defendingyour rights in the digital world." Quite a bit of food for thoughtful discussions on Blackboard!

For the IT-illiterate researcher, this website will explain--in plain language--the basics about various industry-specific terms, phrases and ideas.  This would be an especially useful resource for a journalist or public relations specialist covering anything in the tech field.
