    Here, Wikipedia summarizes Moore's Law, which describes scientific trends in technological advances. Scroll down to the highlighted sub-chapter of the page, and you can review projected challenges to faster technology.   In the end, we cannot stop the evolution of technology, as it races circles around current systems in twos.  Every couple of years, we need to upgrade, otherwise, consider being left behind in obsolescence (scroll down to the next highlight for a definition).
