Create your own interactive stories, music, games, and art. My teacher had 5th grade students create interactive stories based on their research papers on Explorers. It was a great way for them to incorporate the facts they had learned into a technology display.

A Developing World - 1 views

This website is a great interactive and visual representation of the Human Development Index. Each country can be clicked on and information about that country's life expectancy, gross domestic product, and net primary enrollment rate will be displayed. Other information will also be given such as the country's population, and size. Another neat feature of the website is the ability to compare two countries in a head to head face off. The site will graph the information provided from both countries so easy comparisons can be made. Free maps and lesson plans can be found here: http://www.canadiangeographic.ca/worldmap/cida/teachers.asp?language=EN&Resolution=1024×768

Celestia is the most powerful and easy to use 3D space simulation programs - and it's free! There are so many possibilities for using this in the classroom. Celestia is like a Google Earth for outer space. You can travel around the planets, moons, asteroids, and entire galaxy as well as zooming in on celestial bodies and orbiting them.
