BrainPOP is one of my favorite website for engaging students and supporting educators. The authors have created animated, curriculum-based content Flash-based movies, quizzes, experiments, timelines, activity pages, and much more covering hundreds of topics within Math, Science, Social Studies, English, Technology, Arts & Music, and Health. All of the content is aligned with state standards. BrainPOP is accessible entirely online; there's no software to install or download. You can use BrainPOP's resources with PCs, Macs, projectors, or interactive whiteboards. FYI, there's also a free BrainPOP app for your iTouch or iPhone.

Create your own interactive stories, music, games, and art. My teacher had 5th grade students create interactive stories based on their research papers on Explorers. It was a great way for them to incorporate the facts they had learned into a technology display.
