I think that we need a little bit of theory. Marc Prensky with his concept of digital natives and digital immigrants is very inspiring and sometimes helpful when we have to understand our students.

Very useful application when you need to do the survey, even test your students. There are some limits on free account but not so devastating as lack of space on edublogs.
