I don't know if anyone is still using this Diigo group, but this Prezi would be a great way to introduce the tool to other teachers or to students.

This is a fun website that helps teachers prepare short videos rather than making slideshows.

Animoto kicks your slide show up a notch. I think that combining animoto, prezi, and youtube can really make presentations much more interesting- by teachers and students!

I love this website! There are so many cool things you can do to present information to students. This is one of the best discoveries of this class!

Very cool resources at the bottom of the page. There is a link for Discovery Sheets - great for use on visits!

Yucky Discovery Kids - 0 views

Section of the Discovery website dedicated to all things gross - worm world, roach world, yucky and fun games, your gross and cool body. Very entertaining for students but still contains a lot of scientific info. Could definitely be used for a younger group of kids doing a science project on the human body, entomology, etc. Does contain a games section, so students will need to be supervised to stay on track.

This site was very cool. There are more specific links geared towards Science. The site had links to Yoursky, MyStarsLive, Starlab and NASA. Again, this would not be one that every teacher could use, but the applications could be used in areas like Math and even part of a thematic unit in Reading/Writing. The one thing I didn't like about the site was the advertisements that looked like links to other tools.

Teaching Materials - 0 views

This site was pretty cool, especially for Nebraska educators. This was the Official Nebraska Government Website for Teaching Materials. This site was mainly aimed towards History teachers, but it could probably be used by a variety of teachers. As a substitute at Boys Town, I would use it to educate students from other areas of the country about Nebraska. The downfall on this site is that it's very Nebraska centered. This might limit its usefulness to teachers from other states.
