The 5 Best Free Collaboration Tools for Teachers - eLearning Industry - 0 views

  •
This website is nice because along with telling you places you can use for collaboration, it also shows the steps of how to use the sites. This is nice because sometimes that can be the reason why people are scared to use sites they are not familiar with.
  •
This is a tool for teachers to work together with their colleagues to better themselves. If we are going to teach collaboration, we need to know about it ourselves.

Collaborize Classroom | Online Education Technology for Teachers and Students - 0 views

  •
"Complement classroom instruction and engage students in online activities, assignments and discussions that allow for deeper participation inside and outside the classroom". This website is a great platform for having another form of communication with students and families. I could see myself using this website as a tool to stay connected with parents where important links, documents and other information could be posted. Depending on the grade level, I could also use this to have students post their work to.

Discovery Education Web2014 : Web 2.0 Tools - Community - 0 views

  •
XPrize-Community-building and collaboration are two defining aspects of Web 2.0. A range of tools enable teachers and students to communicate, collaborate and share work. Some, like Edmodo, are designed specifically for educators. This Twitter-like tool lets you create custom mini-communities for classes, clubs, parents, etc and push out assignments, reminders and updates. Others, like GoogleDocs, are for general use but conducive to inter- and intra-school collaboration-in real time. All are easy to use. Case in point: a wiki-the Hawaiian word for "quick"-can be set up in 5 minutes! According to the website.

This website is incredibly helpful in talking about Web 2.0. It explains Web 2.0 and the details surrounding it. It also provides a number of Web 2.0 teaching tools for teachers to use. The creator of the website explains on the home page that they have been teaching for over 25 years and is not a tech expert. Therefore, the creator provides reassurance that Web 2.0 is something that everyone can utilize.

Social Studies Games - 0 views

  •
This is a Social Studies site. I chose this site because of its lesson on Geography that so many students including myself lack. I was tested on the 50 states in high school, but thats it. Many Americans could most likely not find Florida or California if you gave them a map. Geography is an important education tool that seems to be losing its ground in the education system today.

Creativity Resource for Teachers ยป Lesson Plans - 0 views

  •
I chose this site as my Lesson Plan/Teaching Sharing. This site has many options. You get to choose what country you want, the grade you desire, the subject, and if you want it in English or Spanish. I know most people would probably not care about the different languages or countries it displays. But, this is an imporant tool to have. If you have a classroom full of ESL's, then this site would come in handy.

Looking through various collaboration tools I liked this one. just paste it is almost like a virtual word document that lets you insert videos and images, copying words and much more. It also has a automatic text back up so if a student accidently does not save or exits out then it will be saved with no worries.
  •
Collaborative tools: I like this website because it allows you to share texts and documents with co-workers and other peers. All you have to do is type or paste your text in the space provided, save it, then sent the link to whoever you want to share it with. I think this would be very helpful with teachers in the same school and grade that might be too busy to have face-to-face meetings. This way everyone is kept up to date and in the loop.
