This is another site that offers Language Arts related games. I think games are a fun way to get children interested in learning so having an assortment of different games they can play is a good idea. The names of the games and overall layout of the site is fun and seems user friendly, especially for children.

3-6 Interactives - Fun, educational, online games geared towards third through sixth grade students. There are games for spelling, words, reading/grammar, and writing. I would use this website for review for the upper elementary.

Time for kids is ideal for students because it's both science and reading. The science archive offers students several articles of different science topics learn more about.

This is a good website to use for social studies. It provides current events that are interesting to kids. There is also information about other countries around the world. This website has great picture taken from National Geographic. I will use this in my classroom with children to learn about different countries and keep up with current events.

This website offers ideas, worksheets, and review sheets for students. The teacher could use this website to print off worksheets to use in class or to plan lessons. It is a very detailed lesson plan making source.

This website has fun songs to help students learn about biology, chemistry, earth science, physics, and there are even more. I think a catchy song helps students remember information more effectively than just reading it.

This website is an incredibly useful tool. It has thousands of books online for teachers to use. It has them listed by topic and then broken down into several different subcategories. Listed for each book are things like author interviews, lesson plans, audio tools, project ideas, tests, and more. Just under the English/LA category, there is 29,674 books listed. It is amazing that this one site has so much to offer. I can't wait to make use of it more.

ABCmouse.com helps kids learn to read through phonics, and teaches lessons in math, social studies, art, music, and much more. For kids age 2 to Kindergarten. I could use this in my future class whenever we have free time.

This site is good because it has a lot of history on it. I could use it in my future class to make the students read and do like a test.

DOGO News has fun articles for kids on current events, science, sports, and more! There are also lots of stories, pictures, videos, games and the DOGO news map for kids! Add your comments, read reviews of cool websites, and more! What a great tool to have this can make lesson relevant to the "NOW' .

I never what a child to say "If I only knew or had been taught that". So this would definitely go in to the news letter home so the child can do it at home or if there is fre time at school.

This is a great website for educational games to use in the classroom. It has games from each of the subject areas. I will use it during different subject areas in my classroom.

Online Learning Games for kids are a great way to build the skills that kids need to succeed in school. These educational games for kids make learning fun with math facts, language arts, and more. This would be another option to reach different subjects and topics. This website also has a printable. The printable would be good for those students who may not want to use the computer but needs extra help.

This idea can be used for students to express their creativity while also practicing their reading and writing abilities. On each card, the children illustrate the title on one card, the setting, author's purpose, beginning, middle, and end.

ABCya is a website that allows the students to use their imaginations. It has many different activities to chose from where the student can take something blank and boring and makes it their own. This website site is good through ages k through 5.

This website has several online games that are arranged by grade level. These games can be a fun activity and I could track their learning to make sure they are being productive.

I chose this website because it offered some good lesson plan options around Shakespeare as well as printables to use. I enjoy Shakespeare, and if I taught it I would use this site to make things more interesting other than just reading and responding to his writing.

I chose this site to look into further development for secondary students who still struggle with literacy. It has resources from computer instruction to hot topic programs to get students extra help.

I chose this resource because it offers project ideas, discussion guides, book fairs, book clubs, as well as a teacher store. I would use this resource as a place to get materials that I need for in my classroom as well as a resource for books for students and myself.

Lesson Plans/Teacher Sharing: I chose this website because it is free and easily accessible; I liked the visuals it included and that they included books that could be used to help teach the lesson. I could use this in my future to find lessons with books I want to read or to find a book for a certain type of lesson.

Scholastic has free access to lesson and unit plans for teachers. You can put in the grade level and the subject and it will give you access to lots of lesson plan options.
