The new Twitter iOS app and Android app works on the discover feature and search. Enter Plurk; it's another Twitter clone which takes the Twitter concept and puts it on a timeline. The service has an odd, quirky feel to it; it's much more visual than Twitter, and it's fun to use. I checked out Twitter some time ago and couldn't really see what all the fuss was about. Embarrassingly, after signing up for an account people started following my Twitter even though I wasn't posting! I've also been hearing so many people raving about Twitter that I thought maybe I should give it another chance.

For companies that choose to use Overheard, the service will scour the public Twitter stream using Summize to find when that company's name is mentioned. These tweets (Twitter messages) will then be piped into the Get Satisfaction support network. Here they can be used just as if the question were asked or the comment made on the site itself.
