Dan Gilbert, author of Stumbling on Happiness, challenges the idea that we'll be miserable if we don't get what we want. Our "psychological immune system" lets us feel truly happy even when things don't go as planned.

Now this woman had something to complain about during the concentration camp days, but she does not dwell on it. Maybe this video should be added to the happiness advantage training? Very powerful words.

Fantastic! More evidence that adjusting the way that you think about things and social investment can transform your life. Jane said that she had a twin sister... Wow! They look, talk and act so much alike.
  •
Oh! By the way, I added this to "Happiness Advantage: Social Investment" and added a half hour to the length of the class to watch it.

I added to The Coaching Manger in the emotional intelligence section.

It's a good video and I agree that most people aren't ever completely satisfied as there's always the "next thing".. However, at the same time it good to be ambitious and want to continue striving, it's just how you go about it. I have read about similar things from the perspective "it's not where you end up, it's the journey that makes all the difference", and this is very similar if not the same.

I liked the way this finished. We chose our own journeys, are we focusing on the ones that make us the happiest?
