Peachtree Group Expands Hotel Management Portfolio with Group 10 Partnership - Over 100... - 0 views

    PEACHTREE GROUP RECENTLY signed a long-term agreement with Southfield, Michigan-based Group 10 Management, adding 14 hotels and 1,648 rooms to its managed portfolio. This expansion brings Peachtree's total managed properties to more than 100, primarily Marriott, Hilton, and IHG-branded hotels in the metro Detroit area, Peachtree said in a statement. Peachtree is led by CEO and managing principal Greg Friedman, CFO and managing principal Jatin Desai, and principal Mitul Patel. "Our extensive experience in hotel operations allows us to partner with Group 10 to elevate third-party management," said Vickie Callahan, president of Peachtree's hospitality management division. "A substantial portion of Peachtree Group's portfolio is third-party managed, underscoring our commitment to delivering strong financial results for our partners and exceptional guest experiences." Peachtree's hospitality management division operates limited-, select-, and full-service hotels, primarily in the upper-midscale and upscale segments, the statement said. The division now manages 107 hotels across 27 brands, totaling 13,485 rooms in 27 states, including Washington, D.C. With the Group 10 addition, Peachtree's third-party management portfolio expands to 31 hotels.

Sonesta to franchise 114 managed properties following SVC sale - 0 views

    SONESTA INTERNATIONAL HOTELS will franchise 114 hotels it currently manages, following their sale by Service Properties Trust or SVC. The Massachusetts-based REIT plans to sell 14,925 keys across 28 states for $850 million in 2025 to repay debt. The trust plans to sell 31 Sonesta Select, 44 Sonesta ES Suites and 39 Sonesta Simply Suites, which will convert from Sonesta-managed to franchised properties upon sale. Following the deal, Sonesta will manage 39 full-service, 14 extended-stay and six select-service hotels owned by SVC, which will retain a 34 percent stake in Sonesta, SVC said in a statement. "Given the slow recovery of our hotel portfolio, along with our capital improvement program and deteriorating leverage metrics, we believe it is prudent to reduce the distribution to increase SVC's liquidity and enhance financial flexibility," said Todd Hargreaves, SVC's president and chief investment officer. "The reduction from the previous level will preserve about $127 million in liquidity annually. We also plan to sell 114 hotels to generate additional liquidity and focus the Sonesta portfolio on full-service and select focused-service hotels. These sales are expected to reduce capital expenditures and leverage, improve portfolio performance, and position the portfolio for the long term."

The expansion will focus on Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Place and Hyatt Centric brands and is timed to coincide with an expected rebound of travel in the country and sub-continent, Hyatt said in a statement. "Southwest Asia continues to demonstrate high growth potential and is among the top global growth markets for Hyatt, said Sunjae Sharma, Hyatt's managing director for India and Southwest Asia. "We have strong expansion plans for 2024 across our portfolio encompassing our legacy brands like Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Place and Hyatt Centric across destinations that will strengthen our brand presence in key markets. Hyatt is also expanding its luxury and lifestyle brands in India, including the recent launch of JdV by Hyatt with the opening of Ronil Goa, the statement said. JdV by Hyatt is the ninth brand introduced by Hyatt in India, reaffirming its commitment to expanding its presence in the country.

GHM entities acquire two Hilton-branded hotels in Peabody, MA - 0 views

    Giri Bar Harbor Kebo Inc. and Giri Peabody 57 LLC, doing business as Giri Hotel Management led by Ash Sangani, recently acquired Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites Boston Peabody hotels in Peabody, Massachusetts, respectively. The two properties offer a total of 205 rooms. The hotels are within a 10-mile radius of Salem and 13 miles south of Boston.
