This is a "dump" for cool science-related videos. There are many good videos here that would be helpful in science class. Be careful, though, because some of these videos may not be appropriate for the classroom.

This cool, simple interactive exhibit will help students visualize the history of time in geologic, evolutionary, and cosmological terms. This would be an excellent visualization for helping provide this perspective in a science class.

Very cool math and science quiz type website. Allows players to select grade level, subject area, or skill/objective. Gives MCT type multiple choice questions and offers explanations for missed questions.

Large asteroid zipping past earth

A really interesting "heat map" visualization showing which birth dates are most common.   What kind of writing could this inspire?  What is the next idea? Could students take another data set and create a map like this based upon birthdates in their own school?  Maybe with local weather data (which days have the most precipitation?) 

"If this wasn't a science page, if this happened 3,000 years ago in, say, a Middle Eastern desert, I would call it a Miracle. But it's not. It's just a plain, ordinary moment of "wow!"

A zoomable visual demonstration of scale.  Zoom in all the way to Plank length and out to the whole of the observable universe.   This would be an excellent jumping off point for student writing, discussion, and thinking in a science (or math) class.  Another wonderful interactive visual demonstration from Cary and Michael Huang.
