Federal agencies and organizations of all stripes collect, create, and publish educational resources that may be used in U.S. classrooms by teachers and students. In most cases, these resources are exempt from US copyright law. This site catalogs these resources by type, subject and more.

This site organizes digital resources to support Middle and High School level courses.  Resources are browsable by Subject, topic, course, or textbook correlation.  Subjects include Arithmetic, Algebra & Geometry, Calculus & Advanced Math, Statistics & Probability, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science, Economics, History & Government, Psychology, and Religion.   Content providers include Khan Academy, PhEt interactive science simulations, National Repository for Online Courses, and NOAA.

This is a curated collection of digital resources for middle and high school classes in a variety of subjects, but especially math and science. In many cases, the resources are aligned to course textbooks from major publishers.

Smart Board Resources

Thanks Dorie! These look good. It is important to remember that SMART notebook files can be imported into Promethean ActivInspire or Mimio Studio for those who don't have a SMART board or the SMART software. The reverse is true as well, Promethean flipcharts and Mimio notebook files can also be imported into the SMART software, but in this case, they must first have to be exported as .iwb files. It is important to remember, however, that when you export and import files into different software, some of your formatting may be lost and will need to be restored. Google provides a variety of lesson plans and webinars aimed at helping you and your students become better searchers and evaluators of online resources.

In order to prepare students to be college and career ready in the 21st century, we must help them become adept and critical users of online research tools. Google offers excellent resources here to help meet this goal.

What is this thing, this periodic table? It's a crucial part of chemistry, and millions of students encounter this fine and elegant visualization of substances every year. Professor Norman Herr has created this helpful trove of resources and links that can be used by both teachers and students. The items here are divided into four sections: Online Periodic Tables, Tables for Printing, Periodic Table Powerpoint Presentations, and Classroom and Laboratory Activities to Build Understanding of the Periodic Table. The first section here offers five great dynamic versions of the periodic tables, complete with helpful links to outside resources and related materials. Also, the Classroom and Laboratory Activities area includes two fun activities, one presents the colors of the periodic table and the other is a chapter from the b ook "Hands-on Chemistry."
