Discover How Thailand's Online Gambling Scene Thrives! - 0 views

  •
Online Gambling is an industry that thrives on people who are either new to gambling or have been a gambling enthusiast for many years from the comfort and security of their home. With the ongoing pandemic situation, the rise in gambling is evident as people are bound not to leave their houses. Thus, several players have emerged at this time. However, Thailand has banned any form on gambling premises due to the problems people faced. There exist strict laws that can put you behind bars if you are caught gambling somewhere physically. HOW DOES THAILAND HAVE A FLOURISHING CASINO MARKET? Today, the rise of mobile casinos like GClub Casino has diminished any chances of facing unnecessary issues related to gambling. Thailand's gambling laws are ancient, which does not include any provisions around the existence of online gambling. This loophole created out of no presence of the legislation related to online gambling rules out any chances of you getting into legal problems. Thus, there are no online casinos that operate within Thailand. Instead, online casinos operate offshore for gambling enthusiasts. One such online casino is the GClub Casino.

Report: U.S. extended-stay hotel occupancy dips amid ADR and RevPAR surge in 2023 - 0 views

  •
U.S. EXTENDED-STAY HOTEL occupancy declined across 59 MSAs in 2023 compared to 2019, primarily due to significant ADR growth over the past three years, according to The Highland Group. Additionally, extended-stay hotel RevPAR surged in more than 80 percent of MSAs, with ten of them, including four major hotel markets, experiencing gains exceeding 10 percent. Despite an 8 percent increase in the number of extended-stay hotel rooms under construction in the 100 largest MSAs over the past year, the figures remain below pre-pandemic levels, the report said. The resurgence in occupancy was notably led by smaller markets, where strong ADR increases and supply expansion played pivotal roles in driving the lowest occupancy recovery indices for MSAs in 2023.

Report: U.S. extended-stay hotel revenue up $1.1 billion in 2023 - 0 views

  •
U.S. EXTENDED-STAY HOTEL room revenues increased by $1.1 billion in 2023, similar to 2018 and 2019, though with a lower relative gain due to a larger room base, according to The Highland Group. All three extended-stay segments reported record-high room revenues in 2023, with the upscale segment leading despite previously lagging behind the pandemic recovery. The 6.1 percent increase in extended-stay hotel revenues outpaced the corresponding 5.5 percent gain reported by STR/CoStar for the overall hotel industry, the report said. However, extended-stay hotel supply experienced its smallest annual increase on record in 2023, at just 1.8 percent. Factors such as re-branding, de-flagging of non-compliant hotels, and sales to other sectors influenced supply fluctuations, a trend expected to persist into the first half of 2024, particularly with older extended-stay hotels remaining on the market. The report also highlighted a 6.6 percent increase in economy extended-stay supply, alongside modest gains in mid-price and upscale segments, primarily driven by conversions. New construction in the economy segment is estimated at around 3 percent of rooms open compared to one year ago.

HotStats: Omicron Reactions Set Precedent For The Future - 0 views

  •
THE OMICRON VARIANT has not good for the hospitality industry, but it hasn't been as bad as expected, which is a good sign for the future, according to HotStats. GOPPAR for November was up from the same time last year, but still down from 2019. GOPPAR for November was $55.68, down 29.4 percent from November 2019. It's also down from $68.97 In October, but according to HotStats that is not unusual for this time of year. "A typical spike in profit in October, normally gives way to a drop off in November," HotStats said. "ADR in the month was $7 higher than at the same time in 2019 after being well down in 2020. This helped drive both RevPAR and TRevPAR, which were both up triple digits over 2020, though still down considerably versus 2019." The appearance and rapid spread of Omicron, which originated in South Africa and by December was the dominant strain in the U.S., was a "noisy" intrusion, HotStats said, coming as it did while the country was still dealing with a spike from the Delta variant. However, it could turn out to "be more insipid than insidious."
