HOSPITALITY SOFTWARE FIRM Actabl recently launched "Alice Housekeeping Refresh" to address fluctuations in housekeeping staff availability, providing owners and operators a tool to manage daily priorities and guest preferences. It enables teams to automate processes and manage assignments, offering visibility into priorities and team progress, Actabl said in a statement. "At Actabl, we understand the critical role that effective management of daily tasks and guest preferences plays in delivering hospitality," said Stephen German, Actabl's senior vice president of product. "Our latest update introduces a transformative tool for board and assignment management, streamlining task workflows and automating routine processes so associates spend more time caring for the guest and less on the technology." The tool provides leaders and team members quick insights into tasks, helping them meet guests' needs, Actabl said. Refresh includes a suite of functions: Auto-Assign, Credit Rules, Room Attendant Summary, Guest Preferences & Ticket Automation and Do Not Disturb Automation.

IDEAS HAS LAUNCHED the G3 RMS Portfolio Navigator for automating multi-property revenue management. The tool analyzes business and market trends to identify revenue opportunities and necessary actions, while streamlining strategy decisions for individual properties and enabling swift responses to market changes for optimal revenue generation, IDeaS said in a statement. WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE producer Unifocus recently marked its 25th anniversary of doing business. The company recently acquired operations management platform Knowcross and celebrated several other milestones it has met since its founding in 1998. Unifocus was founded in the same year Google started up, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act was released and the first WiFi standards were set. The company's labor management system, the first of its kind according to Unifocus, includes scheduling automation and, with the Knowcross acquisition, real-time data for forecasting, scheduling, task execution and tracking of guest and employee satisfaction. "Twenty-five years of serving the hospitality industry and counting," says Moneesh Arora, Unifocus chief executive. "We're filled with gratitude for our clients who've been part of this journey, as well as our incredibly dedicated team that makes our vision a reality. MARISSA MAYER, FORMER Yahoo! president and CEO, has been nominated to Hilton Worldwide Holdings' board. If elected, she will succeed longtime director Judith McHale, who plans to retire at this year's annual meeting in May. She is currently CEO of Sunshine Products, a startup she co-founded in 2018 that develops consumer apps for automating daily tasks, Hilton said in a statement. "Hilton's board of directors has long benefitted from a seasoned team with the right background and experiences to help continue driving the company forward," said Jon Gray, Hilton's chairman of the board of directors. "We look forward to welcoming Marissa Mayer given her extensive consumer and technology expertise in a time when new technologies are presenting a wide array of opportunities for companies to grow."
