Wyndham, Reside launch 'Residence' brand in U.S. - 0 views

    WYNDHAM HOTELS & RESORTS recently signed a 10-year development agreement with Reside, a residential hospitality management company, to launch five residence-style hotels, either open or under development, in the Wyndham portfolio. The franchise agreement marks the debut of the "Wyndham Residence" tier in the U.S., with plans to expand across the top 50 markets. The properties will expand Wyndham's position in the extended-stay segment, along with its existing brands: ECHO Suites Extended Stay by Wyndham, Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham and WaterWalk Extended Stay by Wyndham, the companies said in a joint statement. "Reside has a proven track record as one of the most successful names in corporate housing," said Amit Sripathi, Wyndham's chief development officer. "Whether you need a comfortable place to live for a prolonged time or you simply need more space while traveling with a larger group, Reside's model expands our extended-stay offerings, delivering premium, professionally managed accommodations in locations we know guests want to visit. By tapping into Wyndham's distribution network, we help unlock new demand generators that can help scale their business to the next level."

TPG Hotels to manage two hotels in Augusta, GA - 0 views

    PEACHSTATE HOSPITALITY, LED by President and CEO Danny Patel, recently chose TPG Hotels & Resorts to manage its two Marriott-branded properties in Augusta, Georgia. These properties are the 124-room Residence Inn and the 88-room SpringHill Suites. "Our ongoing partnership with TPG continues to allow us to remain an active investor in the hospitality space through our development platform," said Ricky Raman, PeachState Hospitality's chief operating officer. "We are extremely impressed with TPG's operating expertise and capability to enhance both the top and bottom line, thereby increasing the value of our assets. We look forward to exploring additional opportunities to expand this partnership." The hotels are located near I-20 and I-520, providing access to local attractions like Fort Gordon, Augusta National Golf Club, Augusta Museum of History, Morris Museum of Art, and Riverwalk Augusta. Both hotels have fitness centers and SpringHill Suites also has an indoor pool.

Residence Inn opens in Galveston Island, Texas - 0 views

    Residence Inn Galveston Island, a partnership between LBA Hospitality and Om Sai Hospitality, is now open in Galveston Island, Texas. This collaboration extends from LBA's relationship with Details Hotel Group, co-owners of Om Sai Hospitality, with Atish Gandhi serving as its vice president of operations, LBA said in a statement. "LBA has done an outstanding job managing properties alongside Details Hotel Group since 2017," said Gandhi. "Their track record speaks for itself, and it's why Om Sai Hospitality confidently chose LBA as our go-to management partner for this new Galveston Island hotel. We know they'll bring their expertise to the table and ensure everything runs smoothly for our guests." Residence Inn Galveston Island offers studio and one-bedroom suite accommodations, along with meeting space for up to 70 guests, the statement added. It's conveniently located near UTMB, Shriner's Hospital, Texas A&M, Galveston College, and the Galveston cruise port.

NewcrestImage acquires TownePlace Suites in Dallas area - 0 views

    NEWCRESTIMAGE RECENTLY ACQUIRED the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Dallas Las Colinas in Irving, Texas. It is the most recent acquisition for the Dallas-based investment firm led by Mehul Patel as managing partner and CEO, and the company plans to fully renovate the property, which opened in 1998 and was last renovated in 2014. The 3-floor, 135-suite property offers three types of guestroom: studio, one-bedroom, and two bedroom, according to NewcrestImage. It is near two major airports, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and Love Field, and two major convention centers, the Irving Convention Center and the Gaylord Texan Convention Center. Amenities at the hotel include a fitness center and an outdoor pool. "This extended-stay property is in the heart of a high-traffic corridor that's a popular destination for both corporate and leisure travelers," Patel said. The acquisition of the TownePlace Suites is important to Marriott, said Loren Nalewanski, the company's vice president franchising for the Element, Residence Inn, Fairfield, TownePlace and SpringHill Suites brands. "Our industry is built on strong partnerships between brands and owners," Nalewanski said. "This acquisition enhances the long, valued, and successful partnership between Marriott and NewcrestImage, which has owned and operated 30 Marriott-branded properties since 2013."

Kamah Hotels, Wyndham ink $70 million deal to develop resorts in UAE and India - 0 views

    INDIA'S KAMAH HOTELS & Resorts recently signed a $70 million agreement with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts to develop four new hotels-three in India and one in the UAE-under the Trademark Collection by Wyndham. Kamah Hotels plans to add 25 more properties globally, including in North America, over the next three years. Fine Acres Group will develop the Indian properties, while Global Branded Residences will build the Dubai project. Fine Acres, which operates in India, and international developer GBR previously created Kamah Hotels. Kamah Hotels finalized locations for lifestyle resorts in Coorg, Karnataka; Jawai and Udaipur in Rajasthan; and Al Jaddaf Waterfront, Dubai, UAE, the statement said. The partnership marks the debut of the Trademark Collection by Wyndham in the UAE, the companies said in a statement.
