Doughnut Color Picker - color scheme by HSL to HEX color palette individual color codes - 7 views

  •
★★★★★ This is fantastic! Very precise+ The best I've seen! I'm going to use it as my main color picker/schemer...and worries me that it might go off line. Dark gray background.. well thought! black and white are too extreme About the Doughnut Color PickerWhen I created the image of the color picker it was late at night and once more the computer absorbed all my attention. I forgot to eat on time and must have got very hungry. The moment I saw the image, the Doughnut Color Picker was born.\n\nWhy did I create this color picker?Research into color made me want a different kind of color picker:I wanted a color wheel styled color pickerI wanted a color picker in HSL color spaceI wanted a hue/lightness area on a 360 scaleI wanted a big and a small preview squareI wanted luminance values in terms of RGB greyI wanted to instantly switch to a gray scaleI wanted the preview to update without click & holdI wanted a color clipboardI wanted an online color picker\n\nhttp://www.workwithcolor.com/hsl-color-schemer-01.htm?q=FF0080,007FFF,80FF00,808080,808080,808080,808080,808080,808080,808080

Select or upload each tile What happens to my mosaic when I am finished? After you have finished editing your Fauxsaic it is time to decide what you want to do next. You can either publish it for the world to see and review, or save a copy for yourself and press the remove button so only you have the existing piece of art Can I Edit My Mosaic Once I leave the Display Page?Because Fauxsaics is currently without a membership system currently (see below), user information is stored with a command called cookies. This means you can store the Fauxsaics production number onto your computer automatically and edit it later. This will work for 30 days from when begin creation. flame | peter blaskovic | escape motions - 3 views

Flame is a painting program, it belongs to my 'I am Artist' experimental project. I think with tools which inspires you, everybody can be an artist. You can try it here, change different brush settings and paint your own flame paintings. When you change background from black to white, palette changes from additive to substactive and the feeling of the painting is very different. It's not easy to explain all brush parameters, so I leave this for your experimentation.

I encountered a similar problem, I heard that in such cases you need to use a VPN, but I don't really understand it. What do you recommend in this case?

Sensation and Perception Experiments Two experiments which I designed and ran for my Sensation and Perception class in Fall 2009. They are designed to measure counting thresholds. Both experiments use HTML5 canvases which requires a modern browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Life on a Canvas simulation of Conway's Game of Life and I added a bunch of features to make it interactive. Go ahead and enjoy it! Tier3 Tier3 attempts to build itself as a layer on top of social news sites like Digg and reddit.  Pong written in JavaScript Radius Radius is a portal-esque web page. Shiny graphics, Ajax, and APIs are at the heart of this prototype. It may not be practical, but it is an experiment in making a portal type page.

BKWLD › Buk Life › Cufón speed test - 3 views

  • Not knowing how fast Cufón could render when given a lot of text, I put a test together.  PHP renders out a bunch of random text in blocks ranging from 10 characters to 1,000,000 characters.  Then Cufón goes to task on each, in sequence.  JS tells  you how long it takes.  Try it out here, but be advised it can crash your browser.
  •
At 100,000 characters, FF3 threw "A script is running slow, blah blah" messages.  IE7 just crashed.  Safari 4 hung in there till 1,000,000 but then it gave up.  It looks like Apple's claims about Safari 4's speed have some truth.  I didn't test any of the past generation of browsers, I may go back and add them later.

Virtual Keyboard Gate2Home.com - Type in your language, anywhere!!! - 2 views

      This is a MUST! -Excellent!!!
  •
This site enables you to write in your language wherever you are in the world, with an online onscreen keyboard emulator.
The main purpose of this site is to let everyone who gets stuck without the ability to write/type/search the internet in their own language be able to do just that (usually travelers/tourists or anyone in front of a foreign computer).

"we start a new freedom journey and inaugurate the next-generation of email privacy and security. In 2014, with Kickstarter funding, I started the development of the Dark Internet Mail Environment (DIME), a revolutionary end-to-end encrypted global standard and Magma, its associated DIME capable free and open source mail server. Today, I am proud to announce that we are releasing DIME and Magma to the world. DIME provides multiple modes of security (Trustful, Cautious, & Paranoid) and is radically different from any other encrypted platform, solving security problems others neglect. DIME is the only automated, federated, encryption standard designed to work with different service providers while minimizing the leakage of metadata without a centralized authority. DIME is end-to-end secure, yet flexible enough to allow users to continue using their email without a Ph.D. in cryptology."

Yahoo! Mindset - 13 views

  •
Do a search for your keywords and then move the bar towards "Research" and then towards "Shopping". Look at your competitors and why Yahoo considers one to be more of a shopping site and the other one to be more of a research site. By doing a quick test on our competitors I noticed that Yahoo values blogs and thus if a competitor has a blog on their site, Yahoo believes it to be a research oriented site. (as well as shopping if it finds Buy buttons and SSL check outs)
  •
I'm confused. I don't see a "bar". The links takes me to something called "Yahoo! Research" and the homepage has several tabs but when I enter a search term at the top I get regular-looking results, not categorized ones.

CSS3 Playground by Mike Plate - 2 views

  •
The CSS3 Playground is a web application for experimenting with some new css3 capabilities. Primarily those than conform to the progressive enhancement philosophy, which means that the styles can be used on all sites without severely changing/limiting the experience on browsers that does not support them (=Internet Explorer 8.0 and older). But there are also styles that may need better replacements on Internet Explorer such as rotation, and I hope I will have the time to add more in the future.

And new ways for interacting keep on being released. One of the latest is the one named Jiixo, and it is the one that I am reviewing for you right now.
