Education World has links to news stories for teachers to share and discuss with students. News stories are based on their timelines and interest to students. I feel this would be a great website to implement in the classroom and use to teach students how to five the five w's (who, what, where, when, why) when reading a news article.

A great resource for creating, modifying or "stealing" rubric for just about any subject. I have used this for a number of year. You can create and save rubrics to the site and share them.

I will be using this later in the year with my planetary science kit.

A blogspot for students, parents and early childhood educators. It offers links to websites along with ideas for activities for kindergarten.

RSS Feed - A Kindergarten Blog. On this blog some new content that I found was this voice recorder that you can use to put stories or other things on blogs or internet, It is called Vocaroo. She used it as a story of a leprechaun coming into the classroom. I thought this was cute!

Gifted ed is not a well-funded program in our district, so I found this for tips and insight...both educationally and as a referral source for parents/parenting.

This book is almost 20 years old, but I bet the stories are still relevant to what kids experience today.

This school has a zero tolerance policy on public displays of affection, and friend to friend hugging warrants an in-school suspension. In this case, I would say the inflexibility of this school policy has the potential to hurt kids. If a boy gets in trouble for hugging a friend at school, what message does that send?

Having a variety of groups throughout the day I find that I am always looking for different ways to present a concept. This particular site had a multitude of activities for students and activities for educators (needing PD ideas).

I clicked into several of the themes. This should be a very helpful site for those of us needing some new ideas for bulletin board ideas.

Clever ways to use Google in the classroom. I like the "Getting to Know Your Class" form.

I love the scholastic website, especially for elementary teaching. It offers so many great ideas, activities, and worksheets for nearly everything I teach! Some things are free, while others are subscribed to/paid for. And you can't forget the Book Clubs!

Parent Involvement is so important in a students education! I love this title- Backpack-tivities! I could most definitely use this!
