Technologies and the Future of Writing Spring 2008

I like to scrapbook. I havent done any in awhile, but I am hoping to get back into it really soon. Since I work at a Craft Store it won't take me long to get back in the habit. Even though scrapbooking is a fun hobby, it is costly. By the time a person buys scrapbooking supplies, his or her wallet is empty.

This website has a list of articles that are realted to global warming. Pretty much every class I have taken in college has brought up global warming issues. I find it to be very interesting and this site I can go to if I have any questions.

I bookmarked this page because it has really neat photos. I like to look at the National Geographic photos because they are like no other. They always have the best shots and they are breathtaking.

This email I have had saved for a long time. It has a few pictures that are just really cool to look at. They are all from National Geographic. I am pretty sure they are all real.

It gives you idea for classroom management, leaderships, and teaching methods. I think many people in the course should look at this site if they need some fresh ideas.

I always wanted to know more about the iphone. I think I will wait until the price goes down but still on this site we get all the information we need. Here on apple we can also see other technologies that they sell.

This website shows us the new gadgets that are coming out. It keeps us up to date and informed about all types of technology and gadgets. It shows us everything from cell phones to cars to hypersonic jets.

Gotta love it.

This study examines the relationship between use of Facebook, a popular online social network site, and the formation and maintenance of social capital. In addition to assessing bonding and bridging social capital, we explore a dimension of social capital that assesses one's ability to stay connected with members of a previously inhabited community, which we call maintained social capital. Regression analyses conducted on results from a survey of undergraduate students (N = 286) suggest a strong association between use of Facebook and the three types of social capital, with the strongest relationship being to bridging social capital. In addition, Facebook usage was found to interact with measures of psychological well-being, suggesting that it might provide greater benefits for users experiencing low self-esteem and low life satisfaction.
