This is a site dedicated to the flipped classroom method used by Clintondale High School based in the Detroit area. It explains how the flipped classroom is working for this high school. I was impressed by the statistics that the failure rate has reduced by 33% and discipline problems have went down by 66%. This is an interesting resource and has helpful links to the flipped classroom in the media.
This site gives some historical background to the flipped classroom. It has several links to blogs and other sites. It also gives detailed information on vodcasting and how to. It is not a bad site, but not amazing.
This site has a larger number of listening activities. I liked that it has comprehension questions. This would be good for students who are looking for extra help.
This is a nice site for adult ESL learners. It has American idioms, pronunciation, and a "classroom". It is a little difficult to navigate, and I don't like the graphics. However, it has good material and I think that it is an excellent site of ESL students.
This is an awesome site for English Language Learners. It has grammar, videos with comprehension questions, and business english. I think this would be great for high school/ adult ESL learners.
This site has people for all walks of life telling stories. Would be great to get an authentic voice from the Great Depression or other units you are studying. Also good for ESL listening to get exposure to various dialects.
This site is mostly online quizzes for ESL students. It is pretty basic, but I liked it. It could be used in pairs or alone to review vocab or to test grammar. It also has bi-lingual quizzes. Not flashy, but effective.
Nice site for PreK- 8th graders. It links to games and resources on other sites. Plenty of options and you can probably find something on what you are teaching. It has cute graphics, but looks a little old. Still easy to use.
