Do you all know about Library Thing? I have a Library Thing widget on my blog which presents a revolving show of books in my home library. Just thought you all might find it fun. I did a little PD workshop on Library Thing for teachers -- you can run book groups out of it, as well as catalog your home libraries and share them with eachother - or you can get your students to do it with eachother. Easy to read site with information on authors and book reviews.

This site has a worldwide collection of various children's books. You can search by country or language and topic. It is good site for students to explore stories from other countries (and the US), and whenever possible be able to read in another language, maybe even their own native tongue.
