Do you all know about Library Thing? I have a Library Thing widget on my blog which presents a revolving show of books in my home library. Just thought you all might find it fun. I did a little PD workshop on Library Thing for teachers -- you can run book groups out of it, as well as catalog your home libraries and share them with eachother - or you can get your students to do it with eachother.
