feature apparently allows you to build your own Street View experiences, connect your photo spheres to create 360º virtual tours places, share them on Google Maps.

Screencasting on a Chrombook "One complaint I have seen from people is that you can not screencast on a chromebook. Sure, I wish I had snagit or camtasia for the chromebook, but the fact that I can not use those or other screencasting tools does not mean I can not screencast. Try using a Google Hangout on Air (GHO). If you have never used a GHO, this is a video conferencing tool that is pretty darn cool. It allows you to video conference with colleagues, screenshare, share documents, collaboratively watch YouTube videos and wear a digital mustache. A Google Hangout on Air broadcasts your hangout to YouTube and saves the recording to your YouTube account."

"Unhangout is an open source platform for running large scale online un-conferences. We use Google Hangouts to create as many small sessions as needed, and help users find others with shared interests. Think of it as a classroom with an infinite number of breakout sessions. Each event has a landing page, which we call the lobby. When participants arrive, they can see who else is there and chat with each other. The hosts can do a video welcome and introduction that gets streamed into the lobby. Participants then break out into smaller sessions (up to 10 people per session) for in-depth conversations, peer-to-peer learning, and collaboration on projects. UnHangouts are community-based learning instead of top-down information transfer."

Kids solve problems -- choosing from addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division -- to earn money to build rockets. Each operation includes questions at three difficulty levels, with more difficult problems earning kids more money. When they've earned enough money, kids can design and build their own rockets, which can then be launched into space on missions. Kids help guide the rocket on its trajectory by tilting the device. Missions cover such topics as odd and even numbers, money, shapes, telling time, fractions, and decimals. When the rocket reaches space, kids tap numbers or answers that fit the mission as quickly as possible before the rocket reenters the atmosphere and lands. Kids are awarded gold, silver, or bronze medals if they attain a certain score for the mission. The math content is rich, covering all four operations, money, time, even and odd numbers, and shapes on six levels, from beginner to genius. SUPPORT Figuring out how to launch the rockets takes some trial and error since there are no instructions. Stats on the rocket's flight and on math problems answered correctly are reported but not tracked over time.
