EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY AND SCHOOL LEADERSHIP - Google Docs - 1 views

  •
"Through this document, I am trying to accomplish two things. First, I am attempting to weave together two sets of standards for school leaders, the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium (ISLLC) Standards for School Leaders (2008) and the National Educational Technology Standards for Administrators (NETS-A) (2009). Second, I am trying to map technology tools/applications onto those standards. My hope is that this will become a guidance document for anyone who works with sitting and aspiring school leaders and who wants to better bring together the fields of educational leadership and educational technology."

Assessing Classroom Technology Integration - 0 views

  • Teachers should be exposing students to the latest available tools, whether or not they are completely competent using them personally. Students should be figuring out how to use new tools, not just being taught how to use them. Tools should not be used just because they are cool, but because they enhance the existing curriculum. Students should be researching new Web 2.0 tools for their own personal use and suggesting ways those tools can be used in class. Collaboration via IM, Twitter, blogs, wikis, and so on should be commonplace. Student work should regularly be published online.”

This article is quite4 outdated with less than rigorous examples. However, it is a good starting point and I've highlighted some key points.
