28/6/08 - "The Space Science Education Resource Directory is a convenient way to find NASA space science products for use in classrooms, science museums, planetariums, and other settings." Great starting point for teaching about space.
10/2/08 - First port of call for medium and short term planning of science. There is also a KS1/KSF page. You'll find: teacher subject knowledge, websites for use with pupils, PowerPoints, embedding ICT, Worksheets and lesson plans, vocabulary, concept
This site has been constructed by science tutors to share and support our work with science teachers in training, both primary and secondary. It is part of a wider project sponsored by the TDA (Subject Support Network - SRN), to support all tutors new to teacher training.
30/7/08 - "science experiments, quizzes, trivia ... all kinds of great learning activities." I agree, this is a superb site for children to use by themselves, or for teachers to use in the classroom. Puzzles, challenges, science experiments, magic tricks, maths magic and jokes.
20/2/09 - The University of West England designed these science comics which provide a colourful introduction to several SC3 and SC1 topics, including: dissolving, cooling, gases and air resistance. This link goes directly to the Teachers' page.
11/05/10 - "FOSSWeb is the official site for the inquiry-based FOSS
(FULL OPTION SCIENCE SYSTEM) science curriculum. A place for support, resources, and fun activities."
8/5/08 - The best and most comprehensive science planning and support materials page that I have found. The planning is QCA plus (more than just the usual investigation ideas) and "oven ready" - needs very little tweaking whatsoever.
22/2/08 - A number of pages of high-quality interactive content relating to: the body, energy and the environment, ancient Egypt, Space, Teeth, Senses, Textiles and Word games
