6/4/08 - Great history site run by the British Museum. Browse online resources by timeline, theme (writing, technology, trade, religion, cities or building) or geographical region.
8/5/08 - The best and most comprehensive science planning and support materials page that I have found. The planning is QCA plus (more than just the usual investigation ideas) and "oven ready" - needs very little tweaking whatsoever.
17/3/09 - A wealth of writing resources for primary and secondary teachers. Helps with finding story ideas, developing plot and finishing the narrative. Highly recommended. Also includes writing warm up games / warm-up / starter activities.
19/4/08 - spellingcity.com is superb! The best feature is the fact that you can generate your own list and ask it to test your pupils. You then hear your spelling list words spoken (choose individually or in a sentence). There are also thousands of saved spelling lists for each year group and for many different themes. Great stuff!
10/2/08 - First port of call for medium and short term planning of science. There is also a KS1/KSF page. You'll find: teacher subject knowledge, websites for use with pupils, PowerPoints, embedding ICT, Worksheets and lesson plans, vocabulary, concept
One of the first ports of call for planning history lessons; particularly since there are great ready-made lesson plans and activities! Like schoolhistory.co.uk there are loads of free downloads, useful resources and links.
11/05/10 - "FOSSWeb is the official site for the inquiry-based FOSS
(FULL OPTION SCIENCE SYSTEM) science curriculum. A place for support, resources, and fun activities."
29/08/2011 - Superb idea! Mark Warner (Teaching Ideas) has created a repository of inspiring ideas linked to a growing range of popular and engaging books. There are suggestions for English, together with plenty of cross-curricular links. Great stuff.
29/08/2011 - Superb planning site for mathematics.
