Site allows you to create timelines that include pictures, videos, etc., then share them on websites, blogs, and other media. Free service allows for up to three timelines.
The new Timeline will dig up some seemingly long-lost memories, and many you will wish to forget. Some will choose to delete their Facebook altogether, while others will simply leave things be, deterred by the arduous task of deleting the vast amount of data they are presented with. Here's an alternative I'm informing my senior students of..
'Since 1982, Banned Books Week has rallied librarians, booksellers, authors, publishers, teachers, and readers of all types to celebrate and defend the freedom to read. As we commemorate 30 years of Banned Books Week and enter our 31st year of protecting readers' rights, ALA is pleased to unveil this timeline of significant banned and challenged books.'
"Automatically create a Personal Timeline of your life from any digital assets you have, such as pictures, videos, blogs, documents, or any internet page."
research starter?
Technology timeline. "Edit stories to add detail (or correct a mistake). Add personal anecdotes about the effects convergent technologies have had on your life. Add a completely new entry. It could be a technology that isn't on here yet. It could be about a technology that hasn't been invented yet. Share it with us."
This looks like a great app for collaborative projects, but I also like the Featured Timelines. I just used one of them to do a lesson with my library assistants.
