Students want to use Google rather than stick to the school library catalog, but they need more instruction on how to do this. "As is he habit once every month, I feature here in Educational Technology and Mobile Learning a list of some new educational iPad apps that I came across in different blogs and websites. Of course I can not include every single app I bookmarked because the list will be too long, however, the suggestions I have below are the ones that stood out to me from the rest. Dubbed 'Search Education,'Google's new site has an array of lesson plans, videos (check a sample out below), concept maps, and other tools designed to help any educator properly integrate Google." This is just the logical next step for the search (and basically everything else) behemoth as Google pushes its way into the classroom. As part of Search Education, Google has shared a bunch of lesson plans that are organized by degree of difficulty. So, if you consider yourself and / or your students Google experts, you should try out the more advanced plans. If you don't know what 'boolean' means, then you probably should start with the more basic stuff. The following are just some of the many lesson plans brought to you by Google. Online resources are seen as a revolutionary approach towards education due to their convenience and accessibility. However, finding the right set of tools will be crucial for your success as an online learner. You shouldn't forget that the open access to Internet has enabled an immense amount of misinformation to be presented as facts. With the great number of educational online resources, it can be difficult to choose the ones that correspond to your learning style.

The survey found that 62% of the respondents belong to a social network. Within the educator subgroups, 61% of teachers, 51% of the principals, and 71% of the librarians indicated they are members of a social network. Educators believe that social networks could provide significant value for education.

January 5, 2015 Google Maps is an excellent tool to use with students to develop their spatial thinking. Beyond getting driving or walking directions to the other, this tool enables students to discover the world right from their classrooms. It is also a very good way to teach students about geography concepts, distance measurement, map readings and other fundamentals of mapping such as longitude, latitude, locations and many more.
