I am completely in disbelief and shock that this woman wore this to work on Halloween and considered it a clever costume. Do you guys think the endless cyber bullying and death threats she's been receiving are justifiable because of her costume?

I think that while the costume was disgusting and a joke in terrible taste, that death threats and involving the persons loved ones is always too far. This sort of thing tends to happen a lot online (see Boston Bombing). Where people send out death threats, and other horrible messages to a person that they don't like and it turns into a giant witch hunt. Obviously what this person did was wrong and uncalled for, but telling them to kill themselves and bringing in their family members is a step too far in my opinion.

I can't even believe we are talking about this because it is so awful. For me, I have family who was at the marathon and who were all effected and to see someone manipulate this and tease it is simply outrageous. That being said, i think online cyber bullying can take things to a whole new level which no one really deserves. I think this person should be punished but not by make it public so the person receives threats. They are sending an awful message with that costume and hope something like it doesn't happen again.

I think this is absolutely terrible. This women took the subject of the Boston Bombing way to lightly, according to her tweets she thought it was a "simple joke". To even think that a bombing that killed and injured hundreds of people was a joke shows how much she was in the wrong. Just how she took the bombing to lightly the people that sent her death threats also took the subject of death way too lightly, and took it a step to far. Being threatened like this is something no one should have to experience.

This is repulsive, and this women obviously needs a reality check. People, specifically children, were killed during the Boston Bombing. The bombing destroyed people's lives, leaving them with horrific injuries, and destroying their sense of security in their home town. But, since the subject of death is central to the Boston Bombing, I also think that sending her death threats is unreasonable. This girl obviously made an idiotic decision, but she isn't a murderer or a pyscho. Cyber bullying is dangerous and hurtful, and people think way too little of sending another person a mean message, just because they are sending it over the web and not in person. Overall, this was a bad situation, and I'm guessing she will find a new costume for next Halloween.

I doubt she'll even be leaving her house next Halloween. What she did was wrong, and probably a poor, last minute decision (and, obviously, a bad one), but the bullying has gone way too far. Sending her PARENTS death threats is plain wrong- so is threatening her. These people need to stop, or someone will definitely get hurt more than they already have.

How could she have thought that this was a good idea? She said it was just a "simple joke", does she find people who lost their lives or were severely injured funny? I think that this was completely insensitive move on her part, but threatening to rape her and kill her is too extreme. She should know that what she did was offensive, not fear for her life. Threatening her parents is also completely uncalled for, they had nothing to do with her costume. There were many people who dressed in offensive costumes, I saw multiple people dressed as Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman. What she did my be horrible and demeaning, but she doesn't deserve death threats to her family for it.
