As a STEM learner I relied heavily on creating organizational charts of the subject at hand, plus a fair amount of memorization. Since I was an undergraduate in a very different environment (Spain in the 70's), I was just happy I could go to school. We did not have much time left for the affective domain. I have always worked under the assumption that STEM is 95% transpiration and 5% inspiration.
