    Mac,
How was "riv" used in a sentence? Remember to use punctuation when you write sentences. What makes the vocabulary of the author different?

    Whitley,
I have heard of best friends, but not best enemies! That is an interesting title. Make sure you look up the word hubcap!

    Annabelle,
Dulcie is a very unusual name. I wonder why authors sometimes use common names and sometimes use unusual names for characters. Does Dulcie have an unusual personality?

    Kalani,
You and Annabelle should have a conversation about character names. Her author is choosing unusual names, and yours is choosing simple names!

    Davis,
If you read more of House of Hades tonight, I hope it makes more sense to you. Be sure to look up complexion and illuminated tomorrow. What strategy do you use when a story you are reading does not make sense?

    Kelsey,
Make sure you look up the words you need clarified in class tomorrow. Sounding out words is a useful strategy. I can't wait to hear what you think of Harry Potter Book 5.

    Julio,
You must really like the series if you are on the 5th book. If it is called Ogre Ogre, is it scary?

    Caroline,
I agree "glum" is an interesting word. It is a more interesting than saying a character is sad. Do you like the Ivy and Bean series? Thank you for sharing your strategies!

    Sam,
Bellowed is a very interesting word. I would call it a "rock" word. It creates a strong image in. my imagination.

What makes the dialogue interesting? Is there a lot of conflict in the story?

    Ellie,
Is Warriors part of a series? I am wondering what Rusty will decide!

    Jack,
Are you enjoying the book? Is the vocabulary interesting?
  • kathleen dubovsky

    Asa,
I agree using the word "burned" instead of hurt gives the reader a much stronger image! Remember to add the book to your book list tomorrow.
