Clever idea useful for all subjects.

Definitely worth listening to especially because creative problem solving means learning from not fearing failure... A good message for us as teachers well as for our students. We can't teach well unless we allow ourselves, our lessons and our attempts at new methods to possibly fail.

While we had an interesting discussion, we ended up with more questions than answers. We have agreed to continue this discussion and try to define how pbl can fit into rla.... And Kathleen is determined to be more disciplined and create guiding questions for the tree house project.

This article ties in nicely to John's presentation at our Tac meeting. If you embrace these ideas, it also has huge implications for how and what we teach... Creative thinking needs time. Creative teaching and learning need even more time....

Dewey may not be your favorite read... (He is one mine though... I loved Dewey especially Art as Experience ... Yes, I'm strange) But but love him or hate him, dewey's relevance to contemporary educational issues can't be denied
