Organizations, therapists and clients must work together to facilitate these 3 changes and ensure that each occupational therapy client receives respectful, supportive, coordinated, flexible and individualized service.

    This article explores the role and importance of evidence-based practice in occupational therapy. It further defines evidence-based practice as a personal and professional responsiblity of the practitioner. Evidence-based practice is a combination of proven research and clinical reasoning of the practitioner in order to provide the best practice for the client. This article further explores evidence-based practice through a qualitative study. In conclusion, evidence-based practice should be used in conjuction with clinical reasonig to assist in decision making but due to the individualistic characteristics of each client, it should not used without the professional occupational therapists' clinical reasoning.

    This article from AJOT explores ethical dilemmas experienced by family caregivers for the eldery. Themes of ethical dilemmas are analyzed along with their relationship to occuapational therapy practice. 60 interviews were conducted within this study and the results illustrate the ethical dilemmas family face along with ways to handle them.
