Organizations, therapists and clients must work together to facilitate these 3 changes and ensure that each occupational therapy client receives respectful, supportive, coordinated, flexible and individualized service.
A brief overview of a supervision package is provided as one way to implement supervision for occupational therapists. The package offers a practical guide to the process of supervision, with an emphasis on a supportive and enabling approach. Occupational therapists need to debate the merits and pitfalls of supervision to ensure that the supervision offered is effective and of a high quality.

This article evaluated the effectiveness of preventative OT services for multiethnic, independent living older adults 60 years of age and older with psychosocial needs. Significant benefits were found for the OT preventative group across various health, function and quality-of-life domains, including mental health.
This article explores professionalism and entry-level occupational therapy students. This article from AJOT explores ethical dilemmas experienced by family caregivers for the eldery. Themes of ethical dilemmas are analyzed along with their relationship to occuapational therapy practice. 60 interviews were conducted within this study and the results illustrate the ethical dilemmas family face along with ways to handle them.
