It further defines evidence-based practice as a personal and professional responsiblity of the practitioner. Evidence-based practice is a combination of proven research and clinical reasoning of the practitioner in order to provide the best practice for the client. This article further explores evidence-based practice through a qualitative study. In conclusion, evidence-based practice should be used in conjuction with clinical reasonig to assist in decision making but due to the individualistic characteristics of each client, it should not used without the professional occupational therapists' clinical reasoning.
